The latest from the mountune-powered CTCC

CTCC Round 6 - Wuhan

This weekends Round 6 of the 2018 CTCC was held at Wuhan Street Circuit and proved successful for mountune-powered Changan Ford.

Qualifying saw Team Captain, He take 3rd position with series leader, Cao and new member, Burdon coming in close behind in P6 and P7.

Race 1 saw He fast off the mark moving swiftly up to temporarily take the lead.   After a collision the safety car was deployed and the race was red flagged while the track was cleared, starting again on lap 6 where the dramatics continued.

Lap 7 saw the two new Ford Focus' of Cao and Yan make a move up the grid and Lap 8 saw Burdon make contact with a fellow competitor but luckily came out unscathed.  Battles continued right up to the final lap and the first race of the day finished with He and Cao taking the 2nd and 3rd podium steps, followed by Yan in P5 and Burdon in P6, a great finish for all four mountune-powered drivers.

Race 2 saw a reverse grid draw with Australian born, Burdon starting in 4th position, swiftly making his way up to 2nd at Turn 1.   He, Cao and Yan struggled to climb the grid from their starting positions but Burdon did well to maintain his spot crossing the line in P2, taking the team's third podium of the weekend.

We look forward to seeing the team back on track at Tianma at the end of October.
