The latest from FIA World & European RallyX

World RallyX Round 3 - Belgium

Round 3 of the FIA World RallyX got underway this weekend, held at the Circuit Jules Tacheny, Belgium.

Olsbergs MSE Drivers Kevin Eriksson and Robin Larsson both lined the track again for their third meet of the championship, in their mountune-powered Ford Fiesta Supercars.

The sun was shining in Q1 & Q2 and both drivers finished well, Larsson in 9th both races, and Eriksson in 11th and 13th.   Larsson held his finishing position again in a wet Q3 and moved up on a drier track to take P5 in the final qualifying session of the day, with teammate Eriksson unfortunately missing the last two sessions.

Making the Semi-Final's, Larsson started well getting into P3 however a knock saw him drop down the grid, finishing the race in 5th.

We look forward to seeing them on our home track in Silverstone, May 27th.

European RallyX Round 2 - Belgium

For the European Championship, the grid was lined with four mountune-powered Fiesta supercars, driven by JC Raceteknik's Bryntesson & Frøshaug, Irish RallyX star, Derek Tohill, plus RallyX legend, Mats Öhman.

Frøshaug was positive going into Round 2 off the back of his performance at the series opener last month, and Bryntesson was certainly in high spirits following his win at the Nordic RallyX.

Frøshaug saw some top-half results during the qualifying rounds but unfortunately, his finishing positions weren't enough to put him through to the following races.

Bryntesson suffered car issues in Q4 however top 6 positions in the previous three qualifying sessions saw him progress to the Semi-Finals.  Unfortunately, at the first corner, the reigning Nordic RX Champion was hit by another car, spun out, and ended 4th, missing out on a Final spot.

Öhman saw some good results in the qualifying races, starting Q3 on pole and getting a top 10 finish in Q4, with Tohill seeing similar results, finishing the last session one spot above in P8, however neither driver made it to the Semi's this time round.

The Championship continues with Round 3 in Sweden, June 30th.
